I went to the Car Show in the Sears parking lot in Hicksville this summer. I was there displaying my Plymouth Prowler with 2 buddies that have Prowlers too. Around lunch we went over to the Food Truck vendors and there were a lot of people with Italian food which smelled unbelievable. My pals and I bought a bunch of different dishes to share. We had rice balls, fried mac and cheese balls, lasagna, Italian eggrolls, stuffed artichoke and meatball sliders. We three devoured the food in record time and went back for the meatball sliders. Later in the day I again had to go back for the sliders and eggrolls to take home to my wife. I have not eaten food that good since I was a kid in the city

My Wife and I love to go to street fairs and festivals in the summer. Bellmore, Rockville Centre, Long Beach, Medford, Oyster Bay, Hicksville and Merrick are our all time favorites. We go year after year after year. And each time we see the “On The Scene Cuisine- Italian Food Truck “we stop by and pile up on the food. We love, Love, LOVE the Chicken Speedies or Roast Chicken, Holiday Artichoke (when available) or Rice Ball and some fresh brewed Caramel Iced Coffee. There is no better way to spend a Summer Saturday or Sunday, than walking and talking and eating food from Chef Gail!!!

Chef Gail made the best cookies and cream birthday cake for my birthday. It was trimmed with actually candy bars, which was a huge hit with my teenage pals. I'm excited for next year’s birthday already! Yummmmmmmmm!

Chef Gail catered her world famous, award winning crumb cakes with pistachio filling to a special party at my house. My guests gobbled it up, insisting on second helpings (and thirds). I must say I ate a whole one by myself. It is an absolute favorite of mine and happy to say, it's worth the extra time at the gym. Chef Gail caters the best parties

I was a volunteer at the Lupus Charity Fundraising event, called “Blues By The Bay” at the LI Maritime Museum. It was lunchtime, I had volunteered for hours in the hot sun and I was hungry. There were bunches of food trucks at the event. One in particular caught my eye. One the Scene Cuisine –A Cake Lady –Italian Specialties it was called. I ordered a Sausage & pepper hero, fried macaroni and cheese balls and something called “An Italian Eggroll”. One bite and I was in Heaven. Now I know what food served to angels at the Pearly Gates must be like. Wow, amazing and super delicious do not come close to describing what I ate. I can’t wait till the next event where I see them.

“We had a holiday party at our workplace and the desserts were all done by Chef Gail Chandler- A Cake Lady. It was the first time I heard of her, although many of the ladies I work with, know of her and raved all through our appetizers. After my entrée, I had the pleasure of trying her unbelievable Orange Crème Cake with a Mango filling, it was dreamy and delicious - it tasted like a creamsicle, only better! At our party, my co-workers insisted I try a taste of few of her other desserts, including a cheesecake, a pistachio nut cake and healthy carrot cake . Her flavors are unique and creative and amazingly delicious (but I love oranges, so my favorite was the Orange Crème Cake.)
I actually brought a few assorted cupcakes home for my boyfriend and I to share. And he ate them all up before I could even try a one of these like the Red Velvet or Lemon-lime meringue. He usually doesn't have a sweet tooth, so that says something! (Now he wants more for Valentine's Day!)

I am a vegetarian, so getting good food at fairs, festivals and sporting events was generally impossible. That was before I came upon On The Scene Cuisine and Chef Gail. Her vegetarian and vegan dishes are tasty, hearty and unbelievable. I follow the calendar on her website and I simply adore her carrot cake.
